Information Technology (IT) is another off spring of Computing Sciences. Information Technology could be defined as management of computers. It is the study, design, development, implementation, support or management of computer-based information systems, particularly software applications and computer hardware. Information technology (IT) or information and communication technology (ICT) is the technology required for information processing. In particular the use of electronic computers and computer software to convert, store, protect, process, transmit, and retrieve information from anywhere anytime.

The BS Program in Information Technology is not available anywhere in the province at college level. The revised curriculum of 2009, for BS (4 Years) Program in Information Technology is also available on the Higher Education Commission website.

Information Technology refers to meet the technology needs of business, government, healthcare, schools, and other kinds of organizations.
