The BS English programme of study is a balanced blend of linguistics and literature, consisting of classical as well as modern genres of literature and the emerging branches of linguistics: Syntax, Pragmatics, Morphology, Semantics, Sociolinguistics, etc. The programme of study also includes courses such as ELT, Language Assessment, Syllabus and Material Development, Literary Pedagogy and Practicum, and Applied Linguistics etc. Strong emphasis has also been placed on the practical aspect to enable students meet the academic needs and requirements of the higher education and find jobs in the national and international market.
